Combined Heat and Power Systems The KNM Group supplies boiler equipment that is required for the installation of combined cycle plants respectively combined heat and power systems. In the case of these power plant systems, the KNM's BORSIG will provide all products and services starting on-site gas turbine and ending in front of an on-site steam turbine to allow the generation of heat and electrical energy. Based on the operating principle demanded by the customer, the KNM Group’s boilers can be designed for installation behind gas turbines, both as a heat recovery boiler with or without supplementary firing equipment and also as a forced-draught operated boiler. The KNM Group has reference systems in which smooth switching between gas turbine and forced-draught mode was a requirement.
